Balloon & Bash Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility:

   • This competition is open to parents or guardians who provide consent for their child to receive a free balloon and enter the competition.
   • The parent or guardian must be 18 years or older.

2. How to Enter:

   • To enter the competition, parents or guardians must give permission for their child to receive a helium-inflated balloon at local parks or other public venues where Balloon & Bash representatives are present.
   • Entries are limited to one per family.

3. Prize:

   • One winner will receive a free balloon garland for any special occasion.
   • The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of the winner’s announcement.
   • The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.

4. Winner Announcement:

   • One winner will be selected each month and announced on Balloon & Bash’s social media channels.
   • The winner will be contacted via the contact details provided at the time of entry.

5. Additional Vouchers:

   • From time to time, parents may be eligible for a $20 voucher toward Balloon & Bash services, depending on the promotion communicated on the day of the event.

6. Filming and Media Consent:

   • By entering, participants agree that Balloon & Bash may record or photograph their child while receiving the balloon and use this content for advertising and marketing purposes.
   • The monthly winner also agrees to allow Balloon & Bash to film their celebration (not limited to children’s celebrations) and participate in an interview, which may be shared online.

1. Data Collection:

   • Balloon & Bash collects personal information such as the parent or guardian’s name, contact number, and email address for the purposes of conducting the competition and delivering the prize.

2. Data Usage:

   • The personal information collected will only be used for the purpose of running the competition, contacting winners, and for marketing activities as outlined in the Terms and Conditions.

3. Data Sharing:

   • Balloon & Bash will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

4. Data Retention:

   • All personal information collected for this competition will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfil its purpose.

5. Your Rights:

Balloon & Bash Liability Disclaimer

1. Parental Consent:

   • Parents or guardians must provide permission for their child to receive a helium-inflated balloon from Balloon & Bash.

2. Liability for Injury:

   • Balloon & Bash is not liable for any injury, harm, or accident that may occur from but not limited to:
     • The balloon popping,
     • The string attached to the balloon (including but not limited to the risk of it becoming too tight around the child’s wrist or neck),
     • Allergic reactions to latex or other materials used in the balloon.

3. Acceptance of Risk:

   • By accepting the balloon and entering the competition, the parent or guardian acknowledges and accepts these risks and agrees to hold Balloon & Bash harmless from any claims or damages.

Balloon & Bash Safety Advice

As part of our safety process, we provide instructions to all children and parents at the time of receiving a balloon. This is in addition to the Terms and Conditions.

1. String Safety:

   • Children and parents are advised to be mindful of the string attached to the balloon. If the string becomes too tight around the child’s wrist, they should immediately seek help from a parent or an adult to loosen it.

2. Parental Supervision:

   • We ensure that these safety instructions are clearly communicated to both the child and the parent. If a parent is not present at the time of balloon receipt, children are advised to immediately seek their parent’s assistance.

3. Ongoing Monitoring:

   • The parent or guardian is responsible for monitoring their child’s interaction with the balloon to ensure their safety during and after receiving the balloon.

Balloon & Bash Media Release

1. Consent for Use of Image and Video:

   • By entering the competition, parents and guardians agree that Balloon & Bash may record video and take photographs of their child receiving a balloon.
   • This content may be used for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes on social media platforms, websites, and in other marketing materials.

2. Winner’s Consent for Filming:

   • The monthly competition winner agrees to allow Balloon & Bash to film any celebration for which the balloon garland is used. This could include, but is not limited to, birthday celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, or other events.
   • The winner also agrees to participate in an interview, with the content being shared for promotional purposes on various online platforms.

3. Withdrawal of Consent:

   • Parents and guardians who wish to withdraw their consent for media use may do so by contacting Balloon & Bash at hello@BalloonBash.com.au in writing, prior to the media content being used.
